Murder investigation launched following death of man in DealPublished:20:32 - 29/09/2026 Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Deal. Kent Police was called at 10.05am on Tuesday 29 September 2026 following reports of an assault inside a property in Pilots Avenue.
Officers attended the scene alongside other emergency services and a man in his 60s was located inside the property with a head injury. Sadly, he died whilst being treated by paramedics at the scene. His next of kin has been informed. A 59 year old man from Deal has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody while the enquiries continue.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who has information and who has not yet spoken to officers to contact them. Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcams are also asked to check for relevant footage.
